EDITOR’S LETTER

It’s SO nice to see you. 

Where do I even begin? With so many thoughts, emotions, and sensations, I simply cannot describe my love for this issue and the faces who have brought it to life. Synesthesia can do just the thing: it’s just a fancy way to describe the combination of your senses. Primadonna’s first issue is without a doubt, the perfect culmination of true passion and expression. While feeling so many emotions and having so many ambitions as a creative, I never knew how to channel this energy. From the day I was born to the day I decided to begin Primadonna, “I will” has been a catch phrase of mine. Synesthesia has allowed me to change “I will”, to “I am”.  To feel is to be. I encourage you to utilize whatever emotions, sensations, and skills you have to bring your innerworld to life. 

I owe it to you, my incredible team, my family, friends, and inner child to express my utmost gratitude for this entire issue.

You did it kid. If it weren’t for your effervescence and wild spirit, this wouldn’t be happening. You know you’re special, and I thank you for believing it. Yes, you are sensitive. A little dramatic at times. But that’s okay.  It just makes you, you. You were called a primadonna and you owned it! Remember when Tia Farah said this? “Pilar the star, you will go far.” That’s my affirmation, and it’s all becoming more real.

To those who have been shut down for expressing themselves: this is for you. To those who have dimmed their shine for the satisfaction of others..this is for you. To those who want to start something bigger than themselves…this is for you. And, to those who don’t know how to find their inner primadonna yet… this is for you. 

We all have an inner primadonna, and that’s what makes us so incredibly special. The creation of this issue has proved that owning it leads to beautiful results. To everyone who was involved with this issue: you mean the entire universe to me. I am blown away by the talent I have witnessed. There is nothing more beautiful than breathing life into your imagination. I thank you for letting us do that. I hope this issue encourages you to find what makes you shine. Find your inner primadonna, and own it.
